For this pizza fraction activity, begin by printing the Pizza Fractions page on card stock paper so that it can be easier to work with. Have the kids cut out each piece of pizza along the dotted lines. The kids then place the pieces together to make a pizza. Parents can ask the children questions like, how many pieces are left if there is one piece eaten? Then ask the following question what is the fraction of pizza eaten? Answer is 1/8th. The award money can then be exchanged for prizes (you can purchase prizes at the local dollar store) or special activities like the movies, bowling, golf, amusement parks, fun days, etc.
